What do our volunteers do? 

Our wide range of volunteering roles offers something for everyone. We have volunteers working a variety of hours, across different days, from different locations, including remotely from home.


Our main roles are:

  • Retail assistants - sales, pricing & sorting

  • Cafe assistants - making/serving food 

  • Admin assistants 

  • Language supporters in our conversation club

  • Speakers and fundraisers to spread the word

  • Other roles: eBay selling, baking...

Why volunteer?

At The Terminus Initiative we don't just offer the usual volunteer benefits (expenses, work experience, a reference, and training) but also a chance to be part of our Terminus family, where we support you to build skills and confidence, and offer unique development opportunities. 

In 2019 we will be taking our volunteers for a few days away training at a college within a beautiful stately home. We also have a 'Thank you' party, a summer trip to the seaside and much more.

How to volunteer with us


We can be flexible: if you only have a few hours to spare, or can offer a couple of hours a month, we can discuss how you could contribute to our activities.
